The easy-to-use system makes is very user friendly, and those with little to no knowledge of computers and electronic devices find it easy to navigate. SSAA NSW New Electronic Attendance System Originally conceptualised in the latter half of 2013, SSAA NSW explored options for the design and development of a new Attendance software system that would streamline and simplify the process of both collecting and reporting on member attendances to the NSW Police Firearms Registry and provide Branches with additional database services to assist with the management of their membership. A presentation of the proposed system concept was delivered to the 2015 SSAA NSW AGM where Branches decided to trial the proposed system for recording electronic attendances. This new Electronic Attendance System is a modern approach to the attendance carbon copy books that we have been using for several years. After a short build phase and following internal testing and refinement, in 2017 SSAA NSW rolled out the trial devices and software to five SSAA NSW Branches who each experience a broad cross section of visitors to their ranges on a regular basis. These Branches included Northern Rivers, Fairlight, Southern Highlands, Newcastle and Sydney Branch – Silverdale Range. Within 12 months we would also see Batemans Bay Branch and Goulburn Branch added to the list of sites and ranges that have moved to adopt this initiative. The Electronic Attendance System has been well received by the Branches. Since 1 April 2018, 110,000 attendances have been recorded at SSAA NSW Head Office with a quarter of these attendances being processed and received electronically. The Electronic Attendance System can be set up in a variety of different range environments, either as a permanent fixture or portable device, with or without WIFI, and even for ranges that have no power.
