Firearms Registry and Industry The NSW Police Firearms Registry conduct inspections on a regular basis. Range inspections can feel daunting at times. The good news is SSAA NSW is here to help. Range inspections We can look at range inspections from start to end or concentrate on specic issues affecting your range. Our sta assist with: • developing risk management strategies; • following up on compliance issues that require investigation; • evaluating compliance systems; and • ensuring adequate processes are in place. A standard process for Inspection preparation includes: Prior to inspection • Discuss any concerns over compliance: • Template, structural and operational review; and • Maintenance issues assessment. During inspection • SSAA NSW representatives are available to be present at range inspection to support Branch/afliate club. After inspection • Work with your range to ensure that any required changes or remedial work is done correctly. We can also assist with: • Range Officer training and information • Range safety • Operational procedures • Finding suitable matches • Range equipment advice; and • Facility upgrades As your peak association, we are here to assist throughout the range inspection process, so that you can devote your time to the enjoyment of your sport.
