Insurance will contribute to replacing the buildings as well as some
of the property and contents. With today's building code requirements
and costs associated with a modern build, however, insurance funds
will be nowhere near sufcient to complete the job.
We acknowledge the impact the res have had on individuals and
families, including loss of homes and tragically, in some cases, loss of
life. SSAA NSW, its Branches and Members all stand side by side to
help in any way we can.
We take this opportunity, on behalf of all 56,000 SSAA NSW members,
to thank our brave heroes in the RFS, Ambulance, Police, Fire and Rescue
and other agencies who have been out on the front line day in day out.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected.
The very worst of situations has brought out the very best of people
including SSAA NSW, its Branches and Members.
Some of the SSAA NSW team (including Jai Rowell, CEO and
Tim Barry, Board Member) visited with the Batemans Bay committee
to survey the damage and discuss options going forward. If you
would like to assist the branch and its endeavours, you can donate
directly to the Batemans Bay branch.
All funds raised by this appeal will go directly towards the costs
of rebuilding, meeting council requirements and retting the Range
to the best possible standards for members and visitors.
On New Year's Eve 2019, SSAA Batemans
Bay Branch lost their Club House, target
sheds, targets, fences and a significant
portion of their range infrastructure
to bushfire.
