SSAA NSW 'Hunter of the Year' Awards SSAA National has been promoting 2013 as the Year of the Hunter. As part of the promotion they have donated $2,000 to each SSAA State and Territory to be used as prizes for adult and junior 'Hunter of the Year' awards. SSAA NSW will award $500 to individual members for each of the 4 following categories: 3 Adult Hunter of the Year 4 3 Adult Hunter of the Year 4 Personal Experience Contribution to Hunting Open to SSAA NSW members aged 18 years and above. Open to SSAA NSW members aged 18 years and above who have been recommended by their SSAA NSW Branch for their contribution to hunting at the Branch level. Provide a story on a personal hunting trip which portrays the positive enjoyment of an overall outdoor experience. The aim is to portray the overall experience not just focus on the hunting. Please send photo/s to compliment the story. SSAA NSW Branches are asked to provide details of the contributions made by Branch member(s) to further hunting activities and programs for the benefit of other members and/or the Branch. Branches are also asked to provide a photo, or photos, as part of the entry. 3 Junior Hunter of the Year 4 3 Junior Hunter of the Year 4 Personal Experience Tilterweira Youth Camp Open to SSAA NSW members aged 12 to 17 years. Open to juniors who attended the recent 2013 SSAA NSW Youth Camp. Provide a story on a personal hunting trip which portrays the positive enjoyment of an overall outdoor experience. The aim is to portray the overall experience not just focus on the hunting. Provide a story on your experience at the recent Youth Camp held at Tilterweira Station. Please send photo/s to compliment the story. Provide a photo, or photos, to compliment the story. Participation and behaviour at the Youth Camp will also be considered when judging this category. Entries close 30 November 2013. Please forward your entry to Rob Broderick at the SSAA NSW Office by email at robert@nsw.ssaa.org.au Entries should contain a minimum of 200 and a maximum of 300 words and at least one photo. Winning entries will be published in the NSW Shooter and on the SSAA NSW website. Please ensure content, wording and photos are appropriate for publication. To be eligible to enter you must be a current financial member of SSAA and belong to a SSAA NSW Branch. Members may enter in both categories applicable to their age, however an individual is eligible to win one category only. Winners will be personally notified and also announced in the December edition of the NSW Shooter. Entries will be judged on merit by an independent panel and the panel's decision will be final.
