Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 6 Benchrest at Silverdale NSW State Titles and the Coady Classic SSAA NSW Rimfi re Benchrest State Titles On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October shooters from all over NSW and Queensland converged on Silverdale's Harry Luhr Range for the SSAA NSW Rimfi re Benchrest State Titles. Light Rimfi re 50m shooters took to the fi eld on the fi rst day of competition. Bill Jupp came fi rst with a score of 0.7060 followed by Aslhley Elford on 0.8952 and Robin Cox in third with 0.9073. At the completion of the 50m event, the frames were moved to 100yds where Lee Mcgrann shot a dominant 0.8470 for the win, in second was Robin Cox with 0.8822, and Joy Harrison came third on 0.9200. The winner of the aggregate scores for 50m and 100yds was Bill Jupp with 0.8230 followed by second placed Ashley Elford with 0.8952 and Robin Cox with 0.9073 for third. Heavy Rimfi re 50m shooters took to the range on Sunday where Joy Harrison set a national record with an impressive score of 0.4400, Robin Cox came in second with 0.4816 and Ashley Elford third on 0.5208. Peter Haberecht came fi rst over the 100yds distance with 0.6330, Joy Harrison in second on 0.6646 and rounding it off was Ashley Elford with 0.7166. Joy Harrison set another national record in the aggregate scores over 50m and 100yds with 0.5523, Ashley Elford came in second with 0.6187 and third was Bob Blacklock on 0.6452. The top results for Screamer Groups were: 50m Bob Blacklock 0.172 and 0.153, 50m Hannah Seaman 0.171, 50m Glenn Seaman 0.130, 100yds Emily Seaman 0.382 and 100yds Danny Rosewood 0.337. For the Light & Heavy Rimfi re 2-Gun, fi rst place was awarded to Ashley Elford on 0.7570, second to Robin Cox on 0.7839 and Joy Harrison with 0.8087 placed third. Coady Classic SSAA NSW Sydney Championships On the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October, shooters again converged on Silverdale's Harry Luhr Range for the Centrefi re Coady Classic Championships. The winners of the Light Centrefi re 100yds event on Saturday were: fi rst Anthony Foate on 0.2480, second Alex Chryss 0.2968, third Stuart Foate 0.2994. Over the 200yd distance, the top two places were taken by Darren Parsons in fi rst with 0.2940 and second-placed Bill Jupp on 0.2991. After the aggregate scores were tallied, on top was Anthony Foate with 0.2854, second was Bill Jupp with 0.3014, and Darren Parsons on 0.3278 came in third. On Sunday, Heavy Centrefi re 100yd was won by Darren Parsons with 0.2210, second Stuart Foate on 0.2619 and third Malcolm Price with 0.2834. Afterwards, the frames were moved back to 200yd and the results were fi rst Anthony Foate with 0.2356, second Steve Sori on 0.2416 and third Bill Jupp with 0.2486. The aggregate score winners were Darren Parsons in fi rst on 0.2563, Anthony Foate with 0.2707 in second and Steve Sori on 0.2715 in third. Light and Heavy Benchrest 2-Gun saw Anthony Foate fi rst with 0.2781, second Bill Jupp on 0.2868 and third Darren Parsons with 0.2920. Thanks to the Target Crew for all the hard work changing targets and moving the frames, to Wendy Seaman and Scott Bax for making all the lunches at the two events and John who looked after breakfast each day.
