Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 11 competitors including one New Zealand team, three Aussie pairs as well as 10 fancied individual shooters. There was a strong NSW representation in the event with Murray Hicks, Joy Harrison, Chris Nocente, Anthony Foate, James Smith, Thomas Sprang and Jaegan Peet all doing the state proud. Standing out from the others was Chris Nocente mainly because of his unique rifl e. The Bathurst shooter paints his rifl es and used a particularly eye-catching blue and silver chessboard patterned rifl e for the competition. In terms of results, the NSW shooter who stood out the most was Murray Hicks who took fi rst place in the Heavy Varmit 100 & 200 Aggregate section with a score of 0.2823 and the LV & HV Individuals with an aggregate score of 0.3346. In the team events, Murray represented Australia A alongside fellow NSW shooter Thomas Sprang. The duo won the Heavy Varmint and LV & HV Teams ahead of New Zealand pair of Ian Owen and Graeme Smith fi nished second both times. Australia A also took third place in the Light Varmint Teams event.
