Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 9 2015 City vs Country City take this year's competition held in Mudgee The City shooters won the annual City vs Country competition held by SSAA NSW Combined Services Discipline from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 March. The three-day event was hosted by the SSAA NSW Mudgee Branch at the Windamere Regional Shooting Complex and featured a range of pistol and rifl e events utilising historic and modern military and service issue fi rearms. Friday's competition featured pistol, training rifl e and cadet rifl e events with Saturday holding the standard rifl e events; shooting both positional, rapid fi re and silhouette matches in a long and challenging day two. On Saturday evening, all competitors and visitors joined for dinner and enjoyed the relaxation of the Mudgee countryside. It demonstrated the sense of community, sociability and sportsmanship that defi nes the discipline and our sport. Sunday saw accurised & modifi ed rifl e, vintage sniper and tactical rifl e events round off a highly competitive weekend. From the weekend's placings and collective scores, it was the City shooters who came out on top in the combined aggregate. Simon Ross, John Lewis and Paul Wilkinson held the lead aggregate for those representing City which secured their place on the CVC Memorial Shield.
