Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 4 SSAA NSW State Rimfire Benchrest Titles Junior shooter sets an Olympic dream It was the battle for Benchrest in Coffs Harbour on Friday 2 to Monday 5 October with two huge competitions for the discipline taking place at the Dairyville Range. On Friday and Saturday, the SSAA NSW State Rimfire Benchrest Titles were held with a strong field of shooters. While on Sunday and Monday, the SSAA NSW IRB State Titles took centre stage. From a glance the weekend's weather was perfect, with warm and sunny conditions over the four days. However there were tricky wind conditions that persisted over the weekend challenging the shooters in both shoots. For the Rimfire Benchrest event, 26 competitors took part in the light rimfire (LRF) event on Saturday and 44 shooters in Sunday's heavy rimfire (HRF). While in the RB shoot there were 35 competitors on both days. Ashley Elford won the SSAA NSW State Rimfire Benchrest Titles with a 2-gun score of. 7724 followed by Joy Harrison in second on .8657 and Chris Tyne in third with .8757. In the IRB State Titles, Robin Cox's 1491.93 was the highest aggregate score, which put her ahead of Sonia Frost on 1489.76 and Geoff Knight, 1488.98, in third.
