Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 11 Five years ago the future of shooting at the Anzac Range looked bleak. The Commonwealth Government succeeded in removing all users from the headland bar the NSW Rifl e Association. In 2012 the NSW Supreme Court held that under the provisions of the licence held by the NSWRA, it could be removed only if a suitable alternative venue was available. SSAA Sydney lobbied for access to the Anzac Range and eventually gained Commonwealth backing for our return last August under an agreement negotiated between the NSWRA and SSAA Sydney. On 3 May 2016 the NSWRA announced that it had signed a lease with the Commonwealth Government that secured access to the Anzac Range for the next 50 years. SSAA Sydney congratulates the NSW Rifl e Association on this achievement.
