20 Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. The Farmer Assist program in NSW is now fully operational. This means that we have achieved sufficient member registration to now have the program open for farmers and the farming community to start posting jobs and engaging members. A recent advertisement and editorial in The Land newspaper has produced leads from landowners and station managers which we hope will develop into jobs for members. One question that we are often asked is, "When are farmers going to start posting job?" This is completely at the discretion of the landholder and may be seasonal or coincide with key events on the farm such as crop sowing or around lambing season for instance. We have embarked on developing relationships with a number of key stakeholders of the farming community and we will continue the process of coordinating and arranging meetings and information sessions, such as at the regional field days that SSAA NSW has/is attending this year, to help get the message out there about the volunteer services that SSAA NSW has to offer and in particular this 'Free' service for landowners. For more information about the program or if you are wishing to register, please head to the website www.farmerassist.com.au. Hunting Matters SSAA Farmer Assist
