Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 11 shooting sports. It provided a fantastic opportunity for folks of all ages to try shooting for free under one-on- one supervision. And with the final tally in the thousands, it proved the Mobile Air Rifle Range to be a great promotional tool for the sport. However, the Mobile Air Rifle Range wasn't the only 'star' attraction at SSAA NSW's event stands. Two devilishly cute baby Tasmanian devils were also on hand for meet and greets with visitors and easily stole the show – Peppa and Sporty, who made his debut at this year's Field Days and is officially named in honour of SSAA NSW. It's all thanks to SSAA NSW's project partnership with Devil Ark which is dedicated to ensuring the survival of the endangered Tasmanian devil at risk of extinction due to a disease known as Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD), first discovered in the mid-1990s and now spreading at an alarming rate. With the reception SSAA NSW received at this year's Commonwealth Bank AgQuip Field Days in Gunnedah, the Henty Machinery Field Days and the Australian National Field Days in Orange, we'll be back in 2017 to continue promoting our great sport. So, if you find yourself attending any of these events next year, stop by, say g'day and whilst you're there, find out more about what your SSAA NSW membership can do for you. Thanks to Our Volunteers Special thanks go to the many volunteers that provided valuable assistance in making these Field Day events such a success: AgQuip Gunnedah: Brian Cheal (Narrabri Branch), Brooke Cheal (Narrabri Branch), Gerard Davies (Narrabri Branch), Mark Godwin (SSAA NSW Board Member), John Hallett (Narrabri Branch), Sandy Hobbs (Gunnedah Branch), Peter Szachsvay (Armidale Branch), and Grahame Walsh (Armidale Branch).
