Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 15 Singleton Clay Target Club is the latest club to affi liate with SSAA NSW. The Club's shooting year started on Sunday 8 January with a 100 target SSAA 5 Stand competition at their Warkworth shooting complex, located just out of Singleton in the Hunter Valley. This was the Club's fi rst shoot as an Affi liate Club of SSAA NSW and was an overwhelming success with 13 squads nominating and 63 shooters coming from around the State to participate. The morning kicked off with the unveiling of the Club's new sign and offi cial presentation of the Affi liation Certifi cate with Diana Melham and Irena Sanda from SSAA NSW also attending the event. Congratulations to the winners: AA Grade – 1st Andrew Garvie 98/100 & 2nd Frank Searles 93/100 A Grade – 1st Jeremy Teece 84/100 & 2nd Graeme Roser 84/100 B Grade – 1st Lionel Finlay 73/100 & 2nd Jeff Garland 73/100 C Grade – 1st Taylah Roth 64/100 & 2nd Peter McGovern 56/100 SSAA NSW currently has 110 Affi liate Clubs who, through their affi liation with the State's largest shooting body have access to numerous benefi ts including: • extensive insurance coverage which includes public liability, associations liability, volunteer personal accident and public liability for authorised visitors and non-members, • access to grants for range development projects and subsidies for hosting State Titles, National Championships, Try Shooting Days and other events, • cheaper membership fees for their members, • access to a variety of shooting disciplines and hunting activities, • a strong representative voice for all shooting sports and recreational hunting, • fl exibility and freedom to manage their own affairs and ranges, and • the opportunity to develop through SSAA NSW's culture of inclusivity and grass roots focus. Whilst we require all Affi liate Club members to be fi nancial SSAA members, there is no fee payable by clubs for affi liation. Having 100% SSAA membership enables SSAA NSW to provide affi liation and associated benefi ts to clubs free of charge because, in essence, we are providing a service to our members.
