10 Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. Monday night saw the return of some extra curricular activities designed to burn off steam and help fuel the growing competitive atmosphere of the camp. Split into 4 different teams of 5, this year's team challenge involved testing their coordination, communication, creativity and patience whilst operating with strict time constraints. Day 4 – We made the most of the facilities and planned our final morning to be the Scoped Air Rifle competition on the 10-metre indoor range. This competition was shot free standing, unsupported on a target that contained 5 scoring rings with 2 shots fired and scored on each ring (for ease of scoring). In all we managed to get through four rounds of competition with Craig celebrating his victory on 247 points followed closely behind by William on 242.1 points and Abbey sealing third place with 229.1 points. With all the individual competitions done and dusted, a final tally was completed to determine the overall team scores. It was interesting to see how the team totals seesawed as we were tallying up the figures. In third place, with a team aggregate score of 12635 was team "Skippy". In second place, with a team aggregate score of 15193.1 was "The Vegan Hunters". In first place was team "Pew Pew Pew" with a team aggregate score of 15515.6. Also worth mentioning is the fact that all the firearms that were used at the camp were graciously loaned to us by the Branch, volunteers and staff. Our juniors treated all firearms with all due care and respect and were wonderful in thanking our volunteers for their generous contribution, expertise and guidance during the camp. 2019 SSAA NSW Junior Camp
