State Selection Shoot
Majura shoot kicks of 2016 shotgun competitions
Two shoot offs and an outstanding junior
performance were the big highlights at the second SSAA
NSW 5-Stand State Selection Shoot held at Majura Park
Gun Club on Sunday 17 January.
AA Grade was a tightly contested event with Matt
Webster and John Collier both fi nishing on 90/100 while
Graeme Bennett and Greg Allen came in joint third place
with 89/100.
The resulting shoot offs saw Webster hold his nerve to
win fi rst place while Bennett didn't miss and went on to
claim third place. Junior winner Brandon Guglielmino
scored an impressive 84/100 while Rebecca Wilesmith
won the Ladies competition with 75/100.
It was the fi rst SSAA NSW shotgun discipline shoot
for the new year with shooters from around the State,
including Newcastle, Griffi th, Hay, Sydney, Temora, and
locally as well, taking part in the competition.
