Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 5 • Top 3 topics for promoting to the general public: • Top 3 ways members personally promote SSAA NSW & the shooting sports: Access to Ranges – A High Priority Access to ranges continues to be a high priority for members and SSAA NSW. According to our members, range access is the second highest ranking membership benefit with 90% attending shooting ranges to participate in competition and sight in their firearms. Unfortunately, establishing new range facilities takes time and is becoming more and more difficult. To that end, SSAA NSW has sought professional assistance and recently engaged town planners to assist with the development of our shooting complexes in Dubbo and Armidale. Along with the long term solution of establishing new ranges, we're exploring various short term solutions that will increase utilisation of existing ranges. These include reviewing templates to increase calibre ceilings and reviewing range approvals to incorporate all possible SSAA matches and disciplines where appropriate.
