4 Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. From Diana's Desk SSAA NSW Communication Plan Included with the December edition was our SSAA NSW Member Communication Survey and we encouraged members to use the survey to give us feedback on how you want to receive information from SSAA NSW; what information you're after; where and what you believe we should be focussing our efforts on when getting messages out to the wider community. Thank you to those members that took the time to complete the survey and provide us with your thoughts. Those members who did return their surveys were included in the draw to win one of 10 chances to have their membership paid for a year. Congratulations to the lucky winners, whose names are listed below. As part of this information gathering exercise we've also surveyed our Branches and communication was discussed in depth at the Discipline Chairmen's workshop in December last year. It's really interesting to see that the views expressed similar ideas and it's great that the many different groups are aligned in their thinking. The information gathered from these recent activities, will now be combined with other feedback and utilised to formulate our Communication Plan which will outline how we communicate with our members as well as promote our sport externally to the wider community. Members have previously indicated that the provision of information as well as the positive promotion of the shooting sports are two very important roles played by SSAA NSW. Where, when, what, how and to whom we communicate is integral to us meeting these expectations. So what did you say… • How do you receive most of your information? • How do you prefer to receive information? • How satisfied are you with communications from SSAA NSW? • Top 3 topics that members wish to receive information on: • Top 3 areas for promoting SSAA NSW & the shooting sports: 87% indicated NSW Shooter – printed Quarterly Review 29% indicated NSW Shooter – email version 87% 29% 44% indicated NSW Shooter – printed version only 41% indicated NSW Shooter – both printed & electronic version 44% 41% More than 86% were either satisfied or very satisfied Less than 3% were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied 86% 3% 1.
