Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. 17 On Friday January 15th 2016 senior executive from SSAA NSW and Colonial Action shooters from across the state joined over 200 mourners in Mudgee to remember the life of Jeff Bultitude who died on 4 January aged just 59. A long telecommunications career in Australia, Guam and the USA encouraged Jeff and his wife Leonie to seek a quieter lifestyle so they moved their established graphic communications business to the rural area of Hargraves near Mudgee where they also became part of the Australian Wiltshire Horn Sheep Breeders Association. Joining the SSAA Mudgee Pistol Club on 2 July 2007 Jeff's active involvement in the monthly Colonial Action Shoots saw him move to Branch Discipline Chair in 2008 and his election to SSAA NSW Colonial Action Discipline Chair in March 2010. During the ensuing six years Jeff represented Colonial Action at NSW State Discipline Chairman's meetings where his calm and determined approach gained him the respect and support of his peers as the discipline continued to draw increased support from across regional and metropolitan NSW. The story lines for the three annual Colonial Action weekend shoots including SSAA NSW State Titles always focus on the life and times of a Colonial bushranger; not so for "Colonials 2016" where the Stage Book covers and the Certifi cates for presentation carried a photo of Jeff and the follow inscription: "Colonials 2016 is dedicated to the memory of Jeff Bultitude in recognition of his contribution to Colonial Action Shooting and his promotion of an awareness of Australia's great Colonial Heritage".
