14 Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (NSW) Inc. Sydney Branch Ladies Try Shoot SSAA NSW Sydney Branch has always been proactive in the introduction of new members to our sport. With a current focus being on introducing more women to shooting, in early 2018 Sydney Branch launched the SSAA Sydney Ladies Shooting Program. The Program is designed to help encourage women to participate in and get a feeling for the sport. The focus of the Sydney Branch Committee is to continue to build and develop the Program so that the Ladies Try Shoot Program can be offered across all our Sydney Branch ranges. On Sunday 16 September 2018, SSAA Sydney Branch held its second Ladies Try Shoot Program of the year at Holroyd Rifle Range in Greystanes. This event built on the success of the inaugural Ladies Try Shoot held earlier in the year in April. This time, over 60 ladies attended and experienced shooting for the first time. The fabulous turn out has seen the Branch provide a free shooting experience to over 100 ladies who may never have given the sport a go otherwise! After signing in and undertaking a range safety briefing, each of the ladies was partnered with an experienced range officer who provided them with close one on one supervision and advice on the night. Each participant had the opportunity to fire fifteen rounds before being provided with their targets so that they could compare with their friends and other participants. It was safe to say that everybody enjoyed the thrill and adrenaline
